The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project by the Northwest Ohio Geocachers to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. This cache is part of that series created by NWOGEO members to highlight cemeteries in the area. Please be respectful of the area, and observe the posted hours which are sunrise to sunset.
The first stage will lead you to an Ohio Historical Marker, with information about a early Elmore father and son, both named Israel Harrington. Please read about the life of the son on the sign, he was influential in the settlement of this town.
From the sign, you will travel approximately 260 feet at a bearing of 50 deg mag to find the graves of the father and son. (your course is slightly complicated by the fence...use the gate and be careful!) The name and dates on the stone are legible.
Take Israel the son's age at death, and add it to both sets of coordinates below to locate the box.
