Geocache Description:

An easy park ‘n’ grab available 24/7, placed with the owners’ permission. To gain access to the cache you need the first three numbers written in iron above the door on the front of the building. You might want to stick to “business hours” (11 AM - Midnight Tuesday –Friday and 5 PM – 1:00 AM Saturday.) it will be more fun that way!

For our first cache, we’re trying to incorporate several of our interests: celebrating glorious SWAG and getting our friends from different “circles” interested/exposed to each other. Our hope is that more musical friends will start caching and more cachers will be turned onto great live music.

Inspired by our favorite local band, Ear Food’s CD titled, “Enshrined” the original contents are: favorite CDs, other music related items including KSYM swag. From time to time we’ll place a free admission ticket for shows and new Cds. While you’re hunting, try tuning into KSYM 90.1 FM, the San Antonio College radio station. Our particularly favorite shows are the “Third Coast Music Network” Monday – Friday 3-7PM, Saturday 2-6PM, and Sunday 4-8PM.

In addition to being a traditional cache with room for TBs and swag, we’d like to try something new. Inside the container you’ll find a second container for you to drop off items for a “Swag Shrine” we’ll assemble, and display inside.

Some rules, PLEASE! The item you drop off should be:
G” or “PG” rated; we want the shrine to be kid friendly.
Representative of you or your interests.
Small scaled – not much bigger than a couple of inches in any dimension.
And, finally, we reserve the right for the final determination on how or if we use the item. (You know us “Artists” are a strange and finicky lot.)

Depending on the number of visitors, we should have enough treasures to display the shrine within a few months – a good excuse to come back. We’ll post pictures, too. In the interim, we’ve posted pictures of the inspiration shrine and our own shrine made of swag collected on our hunts. While the container will be different, they will give you idea of what we’re creating.

If you do visit during business hours, we recommend stopping in. You’ll find a funky place that’s been around over 70 years. There’s lots of history, lots of kitsch, good food, cheap adult beverages, kid appropriate environment, Spurs and Astros on the big screen, live music five nights a week (free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.) If you’d like to visit, we’re often here for the music – just ask around or strike up a conversation with the owners or staff.

For those of you who have your own collection of swag, please feel free to post a picture as part of you entry.

Thanks to txrancher for the container idea.
