A quick cache that takes you along a public walkway next to the Port Ludlow marina.
Port Ludlow is making a resurrection as a resort town just a quick ferry ride away from Seattle. This beautiful little port, however, got its start as a ship building town, taking advantage of the vast lumber supply on the peninsula. If you go inside the hotel, there are some great historic photographs of the port in its hay-day. This cache is located on a public walkway next to the Port Ludlow Marina. Park at N47 55.448 W 122 41.003. The cache site not only has a beautiful view of the bay, but on a sunny day has wonderful views of the Olympics. If you would like to explore the bay a little further, kayaks can be rented at the marina. While in the neighborhood, stop by and pick up the Ludlow Falls cache too. The difficulty with this cache will be the muggle factor.
