Geocache Description:

Shingle Mills Falls is on the scenic Otter Creek just inside the Adirondack Park near Brantingham.

This cache is a perfect one for families, either on foot, mountain bike or horseback (hitching post nearby). It's located on the southern end of the Otter Creek Horse Trails in Lewis County. Turn onto Partridgeville Road which is just past the Coach Light and Buck's Place in Brantingham; you only need to drive on gravel for a little while and it is kept nice enough for any type of car. There is a place to park and the walk is on a packed trail, about .4 of a mile to the cache on the river. No bushwhacking required, just remember that horses do have the right of way back here.

There is cool water for warm days, flat rocks to eat sandwiches on, more rapids to explore and great trails to hike on (the Blueberry Trail is highly recommended).

Just remember that there is a black fly/mosquito season in this area and you may want the bug spray ... just in case.
