Our club hosted events are not for "members only." All geocachers are encouraged to attend. The more the merrier!
Come on down to the best little campground in the Cosby area. We have reserved our own group camping area for Friday the 17th - Sunday the 19th. Tents are welcome as well as pop-ups and RVs. The campground has full hookups available as well as a bathhouse with showers. All the tent sites are shady and most of the RV/popup sites are at least partially in the shade. Three creeks surround the campground so you will most likely be able to have a site next to the water if you wish. There is a play area for kids and a big field for them to run around in. There is even a stage if anyone feels the urge to belt out a tune!
PLEASE NOTE: If you are bringing your RV, popup, etc., and want hookups, you will need to call the campground and make a reservation. Tent campers, and those in RVs and popups who do not want hookups, do not need to call the campground and make a reservation, as we have plenty of space for all dry campers in the group area.
We have negotiated great group rates for the event. They are as follows:
* Tents (or those in RVs or popups that want to dry camp) - $10.00 per night
* Partial hook-ups (water and electric) -$15.00 per night
* Full hook-ups (water, electric, sewer) -$17.00 per night

(423) 623-2020. Tell them you are with the Geocaching group for the dates specified. People with tents or other dry campers, may pay when they arrive.
There is no charge for picnicking so if you won't be able to camp, come on down to the picnic on Saturday at 1pm. We will have plenty of Fluffy's famous hamdogs and hotburgers burnin' on the grill. So, be prepared to strap on the ol' feedbag and chow down.
We are asking everyone to bring a side dish to share for the picnic on Saturday. Please post what you will be bringing so we don't have too many of the same thing.
We will have a timed pocket cache hunt for those adventurous enough to compete. The winner will receive a nice prize rescued from our cache bag. Additionally, there are regular caches in the area, so a cache run may be in order.
Friday night we'll probably wonder down to The Front Porch restaurant for Mexican food and Bluegrass. Sunday morning we will have eggs and bacon fried up for all those who made it through to the end.
So mark your calendar's and be prepared for some great fun and fellowship geocaching style!
