### Geocache Description:

Go for a short walk round the historic centre of Cambridge, collecting dates.

There are lots of old things in Cambridge, and some of them even say how old they are on them. The aim of this multi-cache is to walk round the centre of the city, collecting dates. Those dates will give you the co-ordinates of the final cache location.

There are eight dates to collect, but they are all reasonably close together. The whole walk should probably only take about an hour. You can collect the dates in any order you like: depending which direction you approach from, you could follow the order below, or you might prefer to start at EF. We have measured all the co-ordinates twice and averaged them, but be aware that GPS reception is not always great in cities.

You need the last two digits of every year that you collect. For example, if the clue was
XY) 52°12.341' N 0°07.254' E. When did Darwin live in Boots?
you would find that the answer was 1828. You ignore the century, and so X = 2 and Y = 8.

CD) 52°12.345' N 0°07.146' E. When was the poem written? EF) 52°12.423' N 0°07.078' E. When was the drainpipe made? GH) 52°12.426' N 0°07.061' E. When did Edward III found King's Hall? JK) 52°12.363' N 0°07.090' E. When was Michaelhouse dissolved? LM) 52°12.327' N 0°07.075' E. When did the Rotary club provide the map? ST) 52°12.237' N 0°07.089' E. When was the plaque about DNA unveiled? NP) 52°12.198' N 0°07.135' E. When was the electron discovered? QR) 52°12.095' N 0°06.961' E. When were carriages and horses forbidden?

When you have collected all the clues, you can find the final cache at
52°1D.LSP' North 0°0H.EKR' East
There may be people nearby. If so, please be very stealthy when collecting it, or come back later.

This is our first cache, to celebrate our first anniversary of geocaching. We hope you enjoy it! A special welcome if you're visiting from another country — we love to have cachers from all over the world, so please say in your comments where you're from!
