Geocache Description:

A pleasant walk, it will take about an hour to complete. There are some steps which would not be suitable for pushchairs.

The Somerset Coalfield.
In the early 19th century there were approximately 60 major collieries in Somerset and possibly 30 smaller ones. Large scale mines developed along the Cam Valley and in the Radstock area. Most were connected to tramways to the newly opened Somersetshire Coal Canal. The coordinates will take you to Camerton Old Pit, which closed in 1946, across the Spoil Heap, where the Jolly Collier waits to welcome you and give you your final destination.

The coordinates will take you to the first puzzle ONLY.
