Geocache Description:

Long 2 mile uphill hike through a misty forest. Great viewpoint on the way to the lake. Around 1000 ft gain. It is all downhill on the way back to the trailhead.

The destination is well worth the difficult hike to the lake. Crystal clear waters and beautiful Chuckanut sandstone rock formations on the N side of the lake. There are plenty more trails on the N side of the lake that are ripe to explore. Bring some food and some water for this hike.

GPS Reception is spotty up here, but I did have a 3d fixed signal when I took the reading where the cache is located. If you are having trouble, walk NE just past the bridge and you will find an opening to the lake. Point the GPSr to the sky and cross yout fingers! You should get a decent fix and walk it back towards the cache location.

The cache is in a nalgene bottle. Please keep it covered with duff to protect it from being found by casual climbers.
