Geocache Description:

A small cache situated on a Tor on the edge of Bodmin Moor. A pleasant stroll up a footpath and onto the moor.

St Bellarmin's Tor

This cache was placed by Team B - Four geocaching members of the Beazley Family - Steve, Mark, Jeremy & Pete.

There is limited parking in the hamlet of Millpool and access to the Tor is via the Public Foothpath next to the house named "The Old Sunday School", as you walk up the track you will come into a farmyard, the public footpath continues using the rather smart concrete steps. It's a lovely walk and when I was setting the cache I saw some Roe Deer on this path. There is a small granite quarry just before you reach the open moorland, complete with an American made crane.

Also on St Bellarmin's Tor there are the remains of a small chapel dedicated to St Bartholomew who reputedly lived and preached there.

There is a rifle range neat to the Tor so please observe the Flags and warning signs - The cache is not in the marked Danger area.
