Craptacular Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Alpine Reviewer: As I have not received an update from the cache owner, I am archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you (the cache owner) wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the near future, please contact me, and assuming it meets the guidelines, I will be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

TAKE NOTHING/LEAVE SOMETHING! This is a themed cache. Every visit will be a unique experience IF you play by the rules...Travel bugs, however, are permitted to be taken/traded, as always...

Admit it, you've been to a cache and looked in, saw what was there and decided not to take anything due to the "quality" of items? Well over the past few (200) caches, we've come across some pretty "craptacular" items.

This cache is designed for two reasons:
#1) to display what should be considered "craptacular".
#2) to be a final resting place for a "craptacular" item.

We hope you enjoy this themed cache and remember a few rules:
NO BUBBLES - they leak
NO BATTERIES - they can be useful
NO RUSTY ITEMS - these KILL ammo cans and everything else
NO DANGEROUS ITEMS - this is a family sport after all
NO AIR FRESHENERS - coyotes frequent the area at night
NO ORGANIC MATERIAL - They can start growing mold - ewww!
NO MONEY - this is a take nothing leave something and we're not in it for the money.

Other than that, as long as it fits in a standard ammo can, and is NOT a geocaching dis-approved trading item, ie. drugs, alcohol, knives, guns, explosives, etc, it's fair game. Perhaps you are unsure what constitutes a "craptaculer" item? Well, "craptacular" items are those things that even a muggle wouldn't take. In other words you can finally log the items you would ordinarily be too embarassed to admit to leaving. You can tell the tale of how this item came to be, or just tell what you left. Either way, you must post what you left. Cache contains a "suitable" logbook and pen, so you can leave your impressions of the "craptacular" items in the cache. If you're still unsure check out the picture posted on this page.

If everyone keeps this cache in mind as they find others, they will look for the most "craptacular" item ever. You'll want to visit the site again and again just to see what else is out there. In the posts for this cache, you can vote for your favorite "craptacular" item. After the can fills up a bit, we'll post pictures of the items and start again, maybe even have an event...

This cache will guarantee you'll have a "craptacular" time!
