Welcome to the Lake Marion Creek Wildlife Management Area. The
main entrance is located at 28º 8.396 81º 31.374. There is a
gate here that is usually locked; it will probably be open during
hunting season. You'll get your feet wet if it's rained recently
and bugs will be present in the wetter areas. You'll need a
Special
Use License from SFWMD if you want to ride a bike or camp
here.
Hunting is allowed on this WMA. For a complete list of dates
and regulations see this
site.
The cache is approximately 2 miles from the parking area. Stay
on the main road until you get within a few hundred feet of the
cache; minor bushwhacking is required for the last 150'. You can
expect to get your feet wet if there has been recent rain.
The cache is an ammo can with my usual contents. The first
finder is entitled to a subscription to an ATV magazine, courtesy
of last year's Magellan geocache contest.
Placed with the approval of SFWMD land managers. More
information about SFWMD's recreation lands can be found in their
Public Use
