The cache is located in an area which is part of Pippy Park, north of the Outer Ring Road. Locally, it is referred to as the "3-pond Barrens", a popular hiking, dog-walking, cross-country skiing, and showshoeing area.
The cache is about 15 paces from a site where people have built Inukshuk's. You can read more about inukshuk's at (visit link) Feel free to add your own inukshuk to the collection to mark your visit.
Budget about an hour to get in and out.
The cache can be reached from several different popular trails in the area, but is not directly on any of them. It is on a high point of land from which you will have a good view of Big Pond.
As a bonus, you will find lots of blueberries in season, especially along the nearby pole-line.
The cache can be found in a square plastic container placed inside two plastic bags.
