Geocache Description:

Located off of Middle Ridge Trail in Canaan Valley State Park.

Begin at Middle Ridge trailhead: 39.01.502 N and 079.28.030 W

Hike trail to: 39.01.531 N and 079.28.431 W

From that point, walk about 300 feet due East off the trail. Walk to edge of the ridge and look for upturned root structure of a dead tree. Cache is in a plastic box and is nestled in roots.

Don't worry, the markings described in the clue are just trailmarkers put there by the park.

A WV Parks Geocache Permit has been filed at the Programming Office in Charleston, and even though we live 100 miles from the cache, I am in the area every week! So I'll take very good care of it and will check it frequently! Good luck hunting!

UPDATED 09/11/08:
Mistletoe v4.0 is hidden. Replaced container (again) with a sturdier tackle box. Took out water logged stuff, put everything else in ziploc bags. Happy Hunting!

UPDATED 05/06/07:
Misltetoe v3.0 is ready to be found! Putative leaky container has been replaced by "Airproof, Waterproof" version. Log book seemed dry. I removed all of the crappy things from the cache (I know you loved that after dinner mint you got at Captain D's, but dont leave that in the cache...), and added some insects that grow in water, a Rubik's Cube, a "Toonie" (CAD 2 dollar coin), and the latest release from IGwAD, the hottest astrophysical post-modern band in the eastern US.

UPDATED 07/23/05:
Mistletoe Cache is back in business! We visited the site today armed with a replacement container, new logbook, etc so there is another (almost) first find out there. Replaced container and re-ziplocked everything of importance. Should be good to go!
