Southern Adventist University Travel Bug Dorm Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Super_Nate: Alrighty this one is done! There were no travel bugs in the cache when I retrieved the box so someone log them.

I didn't get a replacement out, but if someone else doesn't take it I will forsure have something the first or second week in March...which is when my next break is!

Thanks again for everyone who found this one....it had a great life.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the beautiful campus of Southern Adventist University, and what a more charming thing to do on your tour of the area than to trade some bugs at the bug cache! Enjoy your stay in the area (locals and vacationers alike) and we guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.

On your quest for this cache you will be looking for a 50 cal. ammo can filled with travel bugs, jeeps, geocoins, and any other trackable items of that nature!

The ultimate goal of this cache is to have an easy exchange point for travel bugs to meet and greet and share their stories of their endeavors in the wild! Please make sure the bugs continue to move, and if one has spent to much time here then take it to another cache.

Here is some info about the cache itself:

First of all...The coords listed are for the parking area...you will not find a cache at the listed coords

This is an offset cache...and to find it you will have to follow a set of directions that will take you to the cache:

Your first goal in the parking lot will be to find the trailhead by following the edge of the railroad ties all the way in the back left corner of the parking lot and into the woods.

There is a rather steep decline that weaves down the hill and eventually leads to the main trail, and the cache can be found right at the intersection of the steep trail and the main trail.

The total walking distance should only be about 170 feet if you go that route from the parking lot…but if steep is not for you then you are in luck.

Park at the beginning of the parking lot and walk from the parking, down the road a little ways on Industrial Dr, and into the woods at the wooden sign that marks the Biology Trail, and the walk would be about .10 mile (estimate) I'm not sure about the landmarks that you would see if you went this way but look for the trail intersection and you will be close.

This is not a hard find and should not take anyone that lengthy amount of time. Just simply an ammo box in the woods with the hunting style tweaked a little for hunting enjoyment.
