This cache is down a grass path into the woods.
THis is a Natural Resources area. It has plenty of wildlife you may come across. We kicked up a couple of pheasants going in to hide the cache. The cache is a Decon container so it will only hold small trade items and small travel bugs. If it is hunting season please wear Orange for your safety. The cache is just a bit under .2 of a mile from the parking. The parking can be found at the following coordinates.

This cache is located near the first homestead in Wright County. Several pioneers quickly followed the original homesteaders into Wright County.
On July 5, 1854, William Stryker was the first white settler to establish a homestead in what is now known as Troy Township in Wright County. Stryker, born September 13, 1814 was a native of Geneseo, New York. The Stryker homestead was located on the Boone River some seven and one-half miles due south of Eagle Grove.
