Geocache Description:

NEW DATE : July 10 2005 SW Pa Geo-Summit Picnic This is a picnic for fellow Geocachers and others interested in Geocaching. Come one, come all and bring the family and friends. It will be held at the Laurel Summit State Park, just south of route 30 along the Somerset – Westmoreland county line. Laurel Summit State Park Website

This cache is under development, so please check back for new info.

WE are planning a get-to-getter picnic. There are several picnic tables in the area, a water fountain and some charcoal grills. I would like for those attending to bring a covered dish. That way we should have a variety of good food. There are several caches in the area; this is even the listed parking area for Wolf Rocks cache GC8C2C. Also plans include having a few temporary caches for the day. I hope to make one that includes a ham radio theme, check back later for more info. If you have any Travel Bugs to swap please bring them along.

Plan to arrive about 11:30, and eat about 1PM. If you can not make it at that time, come when you can. This is my first attempt at an event so if you have something to add or suggestions, please feel free to email me from my profile page. Please RSVP with number attending and what you can bring by logging a "will attend".

UPDATE

People have been asking us what to bring. Here is a list of things that we will need:

Hot Dogs
Hamburgers
Buns (Hot dog and hamburger)
Charcoal
Ketchup and mustard etc.
Plates
Napkins
Plasticware
Drinks (non-alcoholic, it is a State Park)

Obviously, if you would be willing to bring any of these items, you must be certain you will be attending, and willing to come early. If you are interested in bringing any of these items, or if you are bringing a covered dish, please post what you wish to bring, and how much you can bring. For the pricey items (like charcoal and the burgers, etc), we can split amongst several people. If you have any questions, you can email XT, T-Charlie or Shub.

We would like a list of who is coming, how many people you are bringing and what you are bringing by July 1st, if possible. That way, everyone can know the quantities of items to bring.

Several new caches will be activated on or near the date of this event. You will want to check the website to make sure you have all the details.
