Geocache Description:


Brahetrolleborg Slot er opført i midten af 1200-tallet og meget naturskønt beliggende sammen med slotskirken ved byen Korinth på Sydfyn. Slottet blev oprindeligt bygget som et cistercienserkloster og er stadig det bedst bevarede af sin slags i Norden. Der er ikke adgang til slottet, men du har mulighed for at besøge slottets smukke rhododendron-park. Smukkest i juni.

The castle 'Brahetrolleborg' was erected in the middle of the 13th. century and is very scenically situated together with the chapel by the town Korinth on southern Funen. The castle was originally built as a Cistercian monastery and is still one of the best preserved of its kind in Scandinavia. Unfortunately there is no public access to the castle, but you can visit the beautiful rhododendron park by the castle. Most beautiful in june.
