Geocache Description:

Located near Lion Rock on Table Mtn. at 6200 ft. Easy 1/4 mile walk to the cache and you'll feel like you are on the "edge of the world" with the incredible views. You are looking for a small lok-n-lok box. Please rehide well, so muggles don't thief it.

This cache is a must do in nice weather. My favorite area to camp with great views all along the road. Come at sundown and enjoy a special spot. When the cache was placed the wild flowers were just beginning to pop up. The month of June is a great time to explore this area.

This is wild high alpine country and snow can last to July. Nice warm day can turn to cold and snow in a hurry, so come prepared. Elk, deer, bear, cougar are wildlife I've seen in the area.

Road to cache can be accessed from two sides. Best road comes in from the Ellensburg side via Reecer Cr, Lower Green Canyon Rd. It's paved to about 3 miles of the top and then is a good gravel road from there. Follow the signs past the turn off to Lion Rock and then about a mile down sometimes rocky Rd 35. The other rougher route comes off of the top of Blewitt Pass. At the top of the pass take rd 9716. You'll see a large sign to Haney Meadows. Follow the signs to Lion Rock. This sometimes rocky steep road climbs rapidly with great views to the west. You'll come to a junction with rd 35. Take the road to the right and it turns into rd.35 Go to the parking cords. and campsite at N 47 16.098 W 120 34.961 Find a good trail heading west near the campsite. If you can't find the trail the woods are open and it's an easy walk to the cache. If you have kids or dogs, keep a close eye on them. Enjoy the view.

Update. July 29 07: Replaced ammobox with a small lok-n-lok box. Road up from Blewitt Pass is rough and rocky in some areas, so be careful if driving a car.
