Geocache Description:

This cache will require that you do some driving around Rice Lake Township. The coordinates above will put you close to where the final is located but are not the coordinates of the actual container. Read on...

The signs that you are looking for are wood (mostly metal now), painted brown with yellow lettering, and VERY easy to find. All but one can be found from the road (that one can be found from a parking lot). A couple are obviously on private property - please respect the landowners by observing the signs from your automobiles. The signs (used to) look like this:

The signs were placed by an Eagle Scout (who was a local cacher himself) as his Eagle Scout project a (large) number of years ago. I believe there were 10 signs at one time. 7 of them remain today and their coordinates are listed below in no particular order.

Use the following information to determine the location of the final container:

N46 5A.BCD
W92 0E.FGH

A=The first digit of the total number of years the sawmill was in operation. (sign 5)
B=3 (Sign #3, which was this clue, was removed)
C=Number of letters in the metal listed here minus 1. (sign 7)
D=6 (Sign #2, which was this clue, was destroyed by a tree.)
E=Number of letters in the old name of the road (not including the word 'the', so three words total) divided by 4. (sign 6)
F=Number of letters in the Ojibway name for the lake. Take this, divide it by 3, then subtract 3. (sign 8)
G=7 (Sign #1, which was this clue, was removed)
H=4 (Sign #4, which was this clue, was removed)

The container shouldn't be too hard to find and only contains a logbook. It is located in the Rice Lake Town Park. Park at:
46 52.272
92 07.083

There is an established hiking trail that is marked that will lead you to the cache area or you can bushwack from the field. The park closes at 10pm. Feel free to add trade items if you like (if they fit).
