An excellent location to use as a viewing point (on a good day) parking is close by at N50-25-343 W004-53-587
When Gorlais (Duke of Cornwall) took his beloved wife Igerna to the court of Uther Pendragon Uther lusts after her big time!and the Duke beats a hasty retreat with Igerna back to his castle at Tintagel. Uther is "some teazy" and demands their return. Gorlois keeps her in the castle whil'st he himself goes off to Dimilioc. Uther is given a magic disguise by Merlin to pretend that he is in fact Gorlois and we know what happend then! if not see cache King Arthur Man or Myth (Tintagel) According to historians Dimilioc may well have been Castle an Dinas. Gorlois in the mean time is killed while out riding on Tregoss Moor. Arthur used to hunt from here as well and a stone in nearby St Columb has the imprints of Arthurs horse imprinted on it but as yet I have been unable to locate it!
