The Scottish "Weird Sisters" are eternal, yet always in a state
of change. The three sisters are symbolized by the phases of the
moon. Skuld is the Crone. The Crone is wisdom and compassion. She
is old in age, experience, accumulated wisdom and death. She is the
gateway to Death and the guide to Rebirth. Skuld is represented by
the colour black and the waning moon.
