Our Fair City's Dirty Magazine Cache In Trash Out® Event

This cache has been archived.

Johann Panholtz: Cool!

Since everyone in the picture is pretty much logged in and the travel bugs are gone, I'll archive and have a "new" post up soon.

Geocache Description:

WORK! Work hard and save the castle! The Savannah Posder Magazine is in need of some tender loving care and a good trash pickup to preserve the historic nature of a truly unique part of our history.

9 Jun: Details are getting more specific all the time, but here are my working specifics. Please check back regularly for more updates.

Who? Willing and able geocachers looking to do some grassroots civic action to maintain the cleanliness of this site
What? CITO event (yes Ertmann, there is a smiley available. I may also have a bonus cache/smiley for those that attend the event only).
When? Saturday, July 16th - right now I'm thinking 0800-1100 or 1200 (I just don't get moving any earlier, and the heat gets tough to go through the afternoon)
Where? At or near posted coordinates; The Savannah Powder Magazine near Chatham Parkway and Highway 17 intersection.
Why? It's just the right thing to do.

We are still working through details of trash containment and hauling. Mr. Holland and I are planning a walk through soon to get a better idea of what we want to try and do (and so we don't accidently haul off something historic - did you read the article about the door a few years ago?)

in faith, Johann Panholtz
