The cache is situated on one of Pendle's three peaks, Weets Hill (397m). There are many ways to approach the cache, either from Barnoldswick, Blacko or Gisburn and all offer good paths, one of which is the Pendle Way. For easier access, if you really want it, there is a road that takes you within a quarter of a mile.
At the summit is a trig pillar, where the views in all directions are smashing.
There is a local song about Weets, some of the lyrics are:
Come on, let’s walk over Weets
Get away from the town and busy streets
Along Occupation Road
Across the gullies where long ago
A cloudburst tore them from the hillside, the hillside
But now we’ll find a peaceful place
And for a while escape the rat race
And we’ll hear the echoes of curlews crying, curlews crying.
Look away across to Malham Cove
And standing proudly, Rye Loaf all alone
Attermire is carved into the fells
Ingleborough’s flat top has a tale to tell
And on a clear day we’ll see Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Tower..........
The cache is a small container and therefore only accecpts small items.
