Orenco-O-Rama
For this cache you must visit the locations identified on the map. Each location has been assigned a letter, A-G, and there is a photograph associated with each one. In each photograph, a particular number has been edited out. Your task is identify the object that was photographed at each location and then determine the missing digit.
Once you have visited each location, you will have all the digits for the final cache location. The cache is located within a 1/2-mile of the posted coordinates.
The cache coordinates are:
As you visit each waypoint you will be walking through the
award-winning Orenco Station community, visiting parks, passing by uniquely styled row and town homes and even cruising by the Orenco Town Center. It's a perfect place to walk the dogs and have a picnic lunch with the family, and you can visit the Hillsboro Sunday Farmers' Market which takes place every Sunday from 10:00 am to 2:00 PM, May 15 through October 2. The area is located just a 1/2 mile from the Orenco/NW 231st Ave MAX station.
The terrain rating is based soley on distance: all walking takes place on public sidewalks and parks. You will not need to cross Cornell Road. The entire hike from A-G to the final cache should take a little over an hour.
You will be somewhat exposed during the hunt as the final cache location sees moderate traffic. As you will be walking through a residential neighborhood, I ask that you not hunt this one late at night.
The cache container is a 5" diameter, 5" high container that has been painted to somewhat match its surroundings. It is not hidden inside of a bush, so there's no need to tear up the landscaping. There's a small pencil inside, but bring your own writing utensil just in case.
Initial contents are the first-finder's prize (no trade required), a couple of small toys and our signature wine charms.

The 2.5-acre Central Park is part of the Hillsboro Park and
Recreation District and the centerpiece of Orenco Station's
pedestrian-oriented community. The south end of the park offers a
pavillion for local events while the north end sports a gazebo. In between is a vast expanse of grass suitable for everything from
picnics to flying kites.

At 2.45 acres, Rosebay Park is only slightly smaller than
neighboring Central Park. Its offerings are geared more towards recreational activities than community events. Rosebay offers a fire pit, a half-size basketball court, a volleyball area, picnic tables and a playground.

Smaller, "pocket parks", dot the community, providing residents and
the public with ample green space and a pedestrian-friendly environment.

The main street Town Center design echos that of the surrounding community. Brick facades, bay windows and balconies extend over the street into the public space while vehicle traffic is directed to parking areas behind the main buildings, some of which provide loft-style housing on their upper floors. Benches and outdoor seating line the sidewalks. The end result is a low-traffic commercial center
that favors the pedestrian and shares space comfortably with residents.

Two of the most prominant, and outright bland, architectual features of any home are the garage and driveway. In most of the Orenco station homes, the garages have been moved from the front of the home to the rear where they are not visible from the street. An alleyway in the
center of the block provides garage access to all homes sharing that block, with a discreet entry to the main street.

You can't get everything right. As you walk to or from waypoint F, notice the driveways of the free-standing homes along NE 61st Ave and NE Copper Beech Dr. When the houses were originally built, the architecture called for grass strips or checkerboards cut into many of the driveways in an attempt to soften the impact of the concrete slabs.
Unfortunately, grass intermixed with a driveway grows poorly and is difficult to maintain. Within a year, all homeowners had removed their grass from their driveways and filled them in with concrete.

There's room to grow. In between the main street Town Center and the
Towneplace Suites sits a large plot of undeveloped land. More
townhomes? More shops? Only time will tell.
