Located off the Discovery Trail along Burnt Bridge Creek about 0.5 miles from parking area.
This ammo can is naturally enough hidden behind a tall tree. You'll need to leave the main trail and go up the hill and use the dirt trails in the woods. It's about 20 feet south of a major east-west dirt trail.
The Discovery Trail along Burnt Bridge Creek runs from just off Hazel Dell Avenue to about Fruit Valley Road. It's about 1 1/4 miles each way. There is parking at both ends. There are four caches along this trail with the two easiest ones (Burnt Bridge Creek and Pleasant Discovery) closest to the west end. This mostly shady trail makes for a very pleasant walk.
Parking at the east end is accessed from NE Alki Road off of Hazel Dell Avenue. There is a turn around just past the sign to the Discovery Trail and off street parking for several cars. (N45-39.702, W122-40.335)
Avoid bushwacking. When this cache was placed, the mosquitos were vicious and the nettles plentiful.
