Geocache Description:

A well-maintained dirt road, which should be no problem to most vehicles, when the weather is right. The elevation is nearly 6,000 feet so winter is out.

I have been coming to this area for years to collect obsidian. This area is the Rainbow, or Lassen Creek collection area (formally the Royal Blue mine). Stop the Davis Creek store to pick up your free use permit, and then head up the hill to log this cache, and collect some treasure.
The turn off is 11 miles past the Davis Creek store; take a right (east) on road 30.

Park at the diggings, it's a short flat hike to the cache, I needed to get it away from the mugglers.
