This cache is located near the place where an old Fire Look Out Tower once stood. Today a micro wave tower is located here.
This is a drive up cache location. You will have nearly 360 degree view at this location. The view towards the Columbia Basin is partially obstructed with scrub trees.
The location of the cache should be accessable year around. During the winter season this is a popular viewing spot for snowmobilers.
Cachers who are also snowmobilers should try to vist this place in the winter. The wind blows very hard and causes snow drifts back in the trees to pile up to heights of 12-15 feet. The Apple Country Snowmobile Club maintains and grooms the road from the Stemilt Basin, across the Naneum Ridge and down into Swift Creek, Coleman canyon and Colockum Pass Roads.
On a clear day you can see Mt. Raineer, and Mt. Adams to the West. The Kittitas Valley to the South Columbia Basin to the East and Mt. Stwart to he Northwest.
The cache is a 6x6 tupperware style container. Contents when placed were a log book, and pencils, flashlight, steel ball, action man, watch, lazer toy, and tape measure.
There is a bench mark about 75-80 feet from the cache.
