No, those aren't huge bees flying over your head...
This is the Home of the Nolichucky RC Flying Club.
If you like flying planes...the smaller ones...then this is the place for you! They have a number of people who come and fly regularly here. From small glow engine airplanes of 20" to 75" wingspan to larger gas engined airplanes of from 75" up to 150" or larger. There are several all electric airplanes that fly out of here as well. There has been several large scale (80" wingspan or larger) Airshows held here. There has even been a flying lawnmower and a flying witch at these airshows !
If you come on the weekend you have a good shot at catching someone here flying their airplane! No need to cross the fence or go through the gate. If the gates open, go on up and watch if you'd like !
