Park at N44 29.860 W85 25.450. Here you will be on the right side
of the river. DO NOT CROSS THE RAIL ROAD BRIDGE!!!!
There are a couple landmarks at this location. About 250' to the
west of the parking spot is the rail road bridge. You can walk the
trail and check it out but the cache is not in that direction and
the terrain is more difficult. On the way to the cache, just off
the hiking trail is a spring coming out of the bank at N44 29.783'
W85 25.419'. The water is cold and clear, take a bottle if you
think you are brave enough to go down and fetch it. I call this
spring McCurdy Spring in memory of Reuben McCurdy, he was the
scoutmaster in Manton for several years. He introduced me to this
spot as a boy. The cache is a regular size ammo box.
