Geocache Description:

50 cal ammo box off the trail.

We found this park off the main road. Had no idea it was here. Talked to the security guard up front and he gave us some background. Seems this park is one of the newest in Newport News, it use to be a landfill and the city bought it to turn it into a sports park. It has about 5 softball fields and there are so many plans coming for this area. The cache is placed on one of the hunting trails here. Security said at one time there were 50 head of deer in this moderatly sized park. Not sure if there is still hunting allowed, so we are adding a hunting attribute. There are bike routes here as well. This might be a good area to CITO we saw a decent amount of trash on the trails. There are atleast 2 fallen trees that you will need to climb over, so sorry no bikes this time.
