A little used trail system lead us to this location. There are 3 access points where you do not need to park on school property. For all of the parking spots (Rt1A @ convience store, Hillside Drive or Fitts Mountain Road), begin by following the unused railroad tracks. This cache is NOT kid friendly, nor should you attempt if you have vertigo. Cache is an ammo box. The last 10 feet are what brings about the higher rating for this short walk. There is a dry way to do this and a wet way. I prefer the dry way myself, but it does require a few more steps than the wet way. Bring your fishing pole, you might get lucky with a brookie or salmon.
This is the site of an old mill from approximately the late 1800'S. It is a fragile area and should be treated with care. Only 1 rock needs to be moved and it is really obvious which one when you see it. A low budget independent film is being produced here so an extra warning to not play with the props (including the log bridge).
