CapFantasy: Well, I'm sad to say this one has come to an end after over 11 years and over 400 visitors. With the hiding spot removed its time to close up shop here. Thanks for all the visits and I hope everyone enjoyed the view from this spot.

Geocache Description:


The placement of this little cache is to give you a view of the 3 levels of the reservoirs in Veterans Memorial Lake Park a city owned Norwalk park. The park is a big one with lots of water sports and plenty of picnic areas and also has a Frisbee golf course on it.

It’s interesting know that during a huge storm on July 4,1969 the Lower Reservoir to the north over flowed and broke the dam holding the water back and flooded the city below including the Woodlawn Cemetery. The city official we talked too told us it took 4 months to repair the break. Shortly after that the Upper Reservoir and Memorial Reservoirs were built. Hopefully they won’t have rain troubles again.

The cache container is a magnetic key holder. Parking can be from either entrance and plentiful.
