adgorn: Sorry to say that this one is definitely gone. Pretty good long ride, so I am happy. Please come visit this little oasis in the western suburbs anyway. Especially beautiful in the spring and fall and a very nice bike ride destination.

Geocache Description:


You are going to the oldest forest preserve in DuPage County, surprisingly not too far from a major shopping center. Parking on 2 sides, but hey, leave the car at home and use your bike to get there! Nice peaceful area that you may not have visited before. Great variety of flora (and fauna) along the trails. A few trinkets inside the cache, plus logbook. Please replace the cache "cover" after your find!!

The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County has approved this cache knowing that geocachers will respect this site (visit link) The FPDDC does a great job in preserving nature for all of us to enjoy! Their rules and regulations require that the following is posted for legality issues.

1.This Geocache is placed on DuPage County Forest Preserve property with permission.
2.Do not place the following items in the Geocache: Food items, inappropriate, offensive, or hazardous materials.
3.DuPage County Forest Preserve hours are 1 hour after sunrise until 1 hour after sunset. Preserve users must not be in the preserves after hours.
4.It is the visitor's responsibility to be aware of the policies and rules pertaining to this preserve. For more information on preserve rules, see the information kiosk in the parking lot of the preserve or contact Visitor Services at (630) 933-7248.
5.All Statutes, Ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County are applicable.
