Geocache Description:

easy walking 500ft from parking location beware of ticks,and no see um's

In Sept.of 1861,USA General William T. Sherman set up camp in Lebanon junction were the ball park is now. Around 4000 troops were located here.No major action ever occurred. Just imagine so many men in one location, what it would look like at the time. Permission has been given for both the cache location and the parking. Please be kind to the areas. the cache is in a ammo box with log and writing tools.park with 500ft when parking at N 37* 49.673 W 085* 43.801
