This is an interesting area. I think you will have fun hiking here. Its one of those little areas that you would probably never hear about if not for GC'ing.
There is a lot of history in this area. One story that I was told is that one of lebanons most accomplished violinist used to play in this natural ampitheater, the residents would come to hear him play, and his music could be heard for miles.
There are also stories of a young boy named Philip Door who was kidknapped by indians and held for many years.(not necessarily in the oven) I have also heard that the native americans of this area would hold cattle and also stampede them over the edge in a hunt.
I have a friend named Tom C. That is a soil scientist/Geologist and general know it all. He had some good info about the formation of this area.It was formed around the time that the last of the glaciers were receding,
about 12,000 years ago.
Ok the Important stuff... the original gully cache was muggled!!! so RidinHarleys Transfered it to me to replace.
I moved it quite aways and HID IT WELL! spare no expense in rehiding this cache. The area is a common place for little whippersnappers in the summer.
I listed the difficulties As Three's, only due to the steepness of the terrain and the fact that it can be SLIPPERY, HOT, MUGGY AND BUGGY and I mean BUGGY!!!
I think the cache is well hidden, maybe a little tougher than it has to be, but if you think like a paranoid cacher I think youll find it.
