Geocache Description:

Located near an outcrop of sedimentary red rock, commonly known as "Indian Paint Rock". While small paint rocks are found throughout the sandhills, it is unusual to find them as outcrops such as this. There are other, smaller examples further along the ridge.

At the end of this comfortable, quarter mile hike, you will be rewarded with a thinly disguised, well supplied ammo can. Please replace as you found it and enjoy the natural beauty of the Sandhill's Game Lands. Remember, the fun is in the getting there.

The Sandhill's Game Lands are a multi use public land. Common uses are for military training, hunting, hiking, fishing, horseriding, birdwatching etc. There are wild animals and poisonous plants throughout, so use caution. Hunting is only on M-W-S during game seasons.
