(P) - Do monumento até á cache além da visita ao
monumento, onde aconselhamos a parquear a viatura, sugerimos que
percorram o caminho a pé já que o local apresenta uma boa
vista que permite a apreciação da vista sobre o
estuário do Tejo.
A dificuldade desta cache é média.
A cache final é um tupperware com 10x8.
Esta cache faz parte de um grupo de caches colocadas ao longo
das Linhas de Torres, reduto defensivo da cidade de Lisboa, aquando
da terceira invasão francesa no início do século
XIX.
Para chegar á cache final há que fazer contas para
obter a coordenada, assim há que tomar nota do seguinte:
A - Número de bancos ao redor do monumento
B - Número de pilares à volta do monumento
C - Número de pilares que cercam o recinto do monumento
Agora a matemática:

latitude inicial + (2 X A)+2
longitude inicial + (B x C) -224

you must take note of the following:

B – Number of pillars around the monument.
C – Number of pillars around the area of the monument.

initial longitude + (B x C) - 224
This cache is part of a group of caches placed at the long of
the Linhas de Torres, constructed to defend Lisbon of the armies of
Napoleon in the third French invasion, in the beginning of XIX's
Century.

O projecto das caches dedicadas
às Linhas de Torres compreende um total de 10 caches
distribuidas por alguns dos locais mais emblemáticos desta
estrutura defensiva, que compreendeu mais de 150 fortes e redutos,
considerada pelos especialistas como um dos mais eficientes
sistemas de fortificação de campo da
História.
Cada uma das caches abarca
uma diferente temática relacionadas com este episódio da
defesa de Lisboa por parte das tropas portuguesas e inglesas, face
à terceira invasão do exército francês, entre
1809 e 1810.
Ao encontrar cada uma das
10 caches, o visitante receberá do seu dono 1/10 de uma
cronologia com os principais acontecimentos da Guerra
Penínsular, em Portugal.
The
Torres Fortified Line consists of a series of 10 caches set amongst
the most emblematic spots along this defensive structure, which saw
the construction of 150 forts and was considered by military
specialists as the most efficient system of field
fortification.
Each cache deals with a
different theme related with the episode of keeping Lisbon from the
hands of the French between 1809 and 1810 by Portuguese and English
troops.
On finding each of the
caches, the visitor will receive from the cache owner a 1/10 of a
excerpt with the main events in the Peninsular War in
Portugal.
