Off highway 38 you will find a trailhead called Cougar Crest. Turn into the lot and use your adventure pass. Like the travelers in the Dawn Treader by CS Lewis, you can go from cache to cache in lovely Big Bear, finding treaures and having adventures of the soul. The area has snakes, so be sure to bring and walking stick before you poke around. Like Reepicheep the gallant mouse in the story, you will find something special if you're the first to find it.
