Lazio Umbria Multi-Cache

To find this cache you explore a beautifull small Italian village at the border of the region Lazio to Umbria.

Per trovare questo cache esplorerai un bellissimo piccolo borgo italiano sol confine tra la regione Lazio e l’Umbria.

At this place you still get a sense of the time of the Middle Ages. It is a real sleeper. If you are here as a tourist bring some time with you to visit the village. To find the Cache, you will have to walk about 1-2 kilometers. Although you will not have to leave the ways (except for the last few meters), you can not do it by car (as you will see) or with a buggy! The a little higher rating of the Difficulty and for the Terrain for the cache are only due to the last few meters.

Therefore, if you are prepared for your trip into the past, your journey starts.
First betake you to the coordinates given, it’s the highest parking place at this village. Leave your car. From here, you start your search.

Now look out for the next gate into the village, go trough it, and after a view meters you will see stairs on the right, leading up to the top of the hill. There are smaller ones at the sides and bigger ones in the middle. Climb up the stairs and count the big ones (A).

Go on to coordinates 42°31.573’ N, 012°48.069’ E . You will be in a small park (with a great view of the landscape) near an old tower. Count the deciduous trees in this park (B).

Then go on to 42°31.576’ N, 012°48.045’ E and you will find the entrance to a place “where many stories occur”. Very close to it, there is a gate with an inscription. Count how often the letter C (roman 100) is occurring in this inscription (C).

Next go to 42°31.568’ N, 012°48.019’ E (GPS reception may be difficult here). Close to it you will find the entrance to the former home of the masters of this village. Which is its house number? (D)

The Cache is hidden at 42°31.uvw’ N, 12°48.xyz’ E. You can go on to it on foot. It is located somewhat outside of the village.
Best go to the lower part of the village and leave it through the lowest of its gates; a lane (it is not the road!) will bring you close to the cache postion. The cache is hiden at the roots of a bush, about two meters up a slope.

In questo luogo senti ancora il respiro del medioevo. Se vieni come turista, prenditi un po’di tempo per fare un giro nel paese. Per trovare il cache dovrai camminare per circa 1 o 2 km. Anche se non devi lasciare la strada (solo per gli ultimi pochi metri) non poi passare con una macchina o con un passeggino! L’alta difficoltà nel rating e del terreno del cache è donata soltanto agli ultimi pochi metri.

Perciò, se sei pronto per il tuo ritorno nel passato, il tuo viaggio può iniziare. Per primo devi arrivare ai coordinati dati, al parcheggio più alto del paese. Lascia la tua macchina li. Da qui comincia la tua ricerca.

Ora trova il prossimo arco che porta nel paese, attraversalo e dopo alcuni metri vedrai alla tua destra delle scale che portano sulla punta della collina. Ci sono scale più strette sulle parti e in mezzo più larghi. Sali le scale e conta quelle larghe (A).

Arriva alle coordinate 42°31.573’ N, 012°48.069’ E. Sarai in un piccolo parco (con una favolosa vista sul paesaggio in torno) vicino a una vecchia torre. Conta le latifoglie in questo parco (B).

Poi continua a 42°31.576’ N, 012°48.045’ E. e troverai l’ingresso ad un posto dove “tante storie accodaono”. Molto vicino a questo, c’è un arco con una iscrizione. Conta quante volte appare la lettera C (romano 100) in questa iscrizione (C).
