I chose the name "Fly Ash Cache" because at one time there was strip mining for coal in this area. UGI & DEP were making a product from unburned rock, coal, and gas,(called Fly Ash) used to try to beautify areas like this. It was spread much like lime, as a fertilizer. Fly ash is also used in concrete, for fill, plus many other uses. This started about 20 years ago and the entry road with the gate was the entrance...
Park at N 41 15.432, W 075 56.235, walk past old gate on a mostly untraveled dirt road. Don't drive past gate (even if open). Find quad trail on the left. Follow it till close to cache. Cache is .17 Mi from parking area. Cache is now in a M60 ammo box. Started with Post it Notes, Stripes, Key chain, Yo Yo, Lens,Screen Wipes, Lock, and a Log book and pencil. Please sign.
For a more challenging (bushwacking) way in, park at
N 41 15.647 W 075 56.608, cache is 1/4 mile away.
Check out nearby Valley View Cache, it's within walking distance of here. Climb the hill and you are on your way !!!
Update 9-9-2010
Upped the difficulty due to someone moving the cache about 20 feet away. I left it where it was placed. It's just a little bit harder to find...
