This cache is hidden on the former site of
Aurora Downs race track. I believe it was a harness racing
track, and I'm pretty sure it closed in the mid 1970s, but
beyond that, my recollection of the track is very vague. If
you know any history or interesting facts about it, please
post it in your log. A photo from 1939 is shown below with
the cache location marked. The same area is shown in a
present day photo. Thanks to geognerd for providing these
great photos!
The cache is a fairly small tube with a log sheet, pencil, and a
couple of trading items.
You don't have to do any climbing on concrete to reach this.
Please hide this as you found it. If you do want to do some
climbing around, you might find a hardhat in the area.
