Down Under Bug Party Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

dirich92: Time to archive. It was a great event, and we've got a suitcase full of bugs. I've just now posted a note on gc.com.au and we'll find a suitable cache for the racers soon.

Geocache Description:

Join us for an evening of food, fun, and travel bug exchanges. This event also serves as the starting point for the Australia-Austin Travel Bug Race 2005.

dirich92 and the boyz will be headed for a long caching trip to Australia. Please join us at Baby A's on 35 N, Howard Lane exit, at 6 pm on Tuesday, July 26 to supply us with travel bugs wanting to see the world.

This event also serves as the kickoff for the great Australia-Austin travel bug race. Bring your activated bug to the event. We will drop them off in a cache near a populated area. Prizes will be awarded for the first bug back to Austin (and placed in a cache which will be activated this weekend -- I'll update this cache page with details when I get them) and for the bug which has accumulated the most miles as of 12:01 am CST, January 1, 2006. Prizes will be touristy Australia stuff, suggestions welcome. Members of the dirich92 caching family are not eligible to win prizes, although we will put at least one bug in the race.

RSVP so we can tell Baby A's if we need more space.

Note that the coordinates above are approximate based on clicking within MapSource. You'll figure it out.
