This is a cache to visit if you want an informative and beautiful walk in typical natural surroundings to a local high point. Linnekleppen is almost the highest point in the county, and the firetower can be visited, which offers the highest viewpoint. Minimum 1 hour walk. Linnekleppen, a hill possibly named for the bird "linnet" in english, is unusual in having the last manned fire watchtower in northern Europe. The view from the top is the highest in Østfold county. It's worth researching the trail a little in advance, so one can watch out for various unusual plants, etc.
There are two good marked trails, either from the north or the south side. The trail from the south is the most popular, is shortest, but takes a good hour to walk, from a small car park on the rv 105. You need decent boots. The trail is marked by blue paint and is easy to follow.
There are regular signs explaining the flora, fauna and nature generally (in Norwegian). If you stop to read all of these, the walk up could be well over 1 hour. The cache is close to the firetower, but not where you will easily be watched by muggles. The walk back takes us 60 minutes.
