Geocache Description:

Reached by a scenic drive past Apple Orchards, Farms & Dams. It is also a pleasant drive to reach Hermanus from the N2, albeit a bit slower, it is shorter.

From Cape Town take N2 till just past Grabouw. Just past Peregrine Farmstall, turn right onto the Viljoenshoop Road. After +/-5kms turn left onto the R44 via Highlands road. This road becomes a gravel road, so please drive slowly. Park at the Perdeberg sign at the top of the small pass, as the road has been closed off (but may be open at times when you can drive fairly close to cache). Walk (drive slowly) along the white gravel road until you reach a dead end.
From here the trail takes you to the left. About 50 meters down this trail you will see the sandstone rocks on the right. Head to this point & enjoy the breath-taking views of Hawston and the estuary. The cache is 2m in front of the main co-ordinates.

On the way back you can continue up the fairly good gravel Highlands road onwards for another 7km to the Kleinmond/ Hermanus road - a shortcut over the top.
Take a picnic & enjoy the peace & quiet!
