Geocache Description:

You will find an old quarry pit, not very big, but not common to the area. Not too deep, but plenty of quarry stone littering the area. It appears to be granite that was taken from this pit, notice the chisel holes in the remains.

We hid the cache from the trails and parking area of "Don't Lose All Your Marble's Two", we crossed the power lines at one point. There are no trails to the Quarry, a few lead close, you might have to bushwhack thru the forest, briars and brush. There are slight trails if you enter the forest from the power lines. The tree cover is thick we had trouble getting coordinates, but finally did. The area is pretty dry. We scared up 2 owls while hiding the cache. Make sure you take your parking coordinates with you, so you don't get lost. It may be easier to do War Surplus first then look for this one.

Do not attempt to find this cache from "Circuit Street Circuit" it much too wet and swampy.

The granite taken from this area, is said to have been used to support King Street where it passes over the end of Forge Pond. Thanks to owdduck for showing us this interesting area. Good Luck!
