This is a nice hike or bike to Eagle Hill with a great view of the
Bow Valley and Sibbald flats.
The hike is around 6 km (each way) with an elevation gain of 330
meters.
Park at the Sibbald Lake Campground day use area (N 51°02.822'
W114°52.061'). Go back down the road to just before the bridge and
turn right onto the Eagle Hill Trail at a trail map. I would
suggest not taking the route up the road as this involve more
elevation change and complicated route finding.
This trail is listed in Gillian Daffern's great trail guide
"Kananaskis Country Trail Guide - Volume 2", trail number 337.
The trail is easy to follow and instersections are marked. It
should be a good family hike with older children. Just make sure
you wear proper hiking footwear.
We placed this cache while doing the trail by mountain bike in the
pouring rain. The wettest day out on a bike in my life.
