The coordinates are for the parking area to start of this multicache. This has 2 parts you will need to find the first to get the coordinates for the final cache.
The hamlet of Etchinghill lies at the southern end of the Parish of Lyminge. Its original name was Tetinghelde, which possibly means the hill with the babbling brook. A spring rises to the north side of Westfield Lane, (the road to Tolsford Hill) and the resultant stream flows across the fields to join up with the Nailbourne that rises in Well Field, Lyminge. This stream is known as the East Brook and probably in the Saxon period, when the settlement got its name of Tetinghelde, the volume of water would have been much greater. By the 15 th Century the hamlet’s name had altered to “Etynghyld” and “Etynghyll” which at some later date in turn became the familiar Etchinghill.
From the parking area, follow the bridleway to a gate at N51*06.037 E001*04.764. On the gate will be a metal plate with 3 phone numbers on it. Take The Last 6 numbers for Chester and assign each number a letter from the alphabet ABCDEF. From this you will work out the final Cache coordinates, which will be N51*05.DC3 E001*05.CB5.
The Cache itself is the same shape and colour as a film canister but much larger, it contains the usual niknaks and 2 TB. Tulsa Bound and Alphabug, The latter being the reason for setting up this cache, A cache starting with E.
