the site across the stream and the park across the road used to be
part of the jarrow papermill, started by Thomas Bell in 1841. The
mill closed in 1923 and the owners widow gave the land to the town,
the site was changed by the unemployed of the town during the
1930's to what it is today, since then it has slowly been left to
degenerate although a restoration project of the rose garden at the
top end of the park is now underway.
The cache is contained in 1.5 litre ice cream container , Ive
restarted this cache after it was muggled with 2 pay as you go sim
cards, llog book, travel bug a few other bit and bobs
The above coordinates are for a fence post, the cache is located
about 16 meters away from this post at a bearing of 145
degrees
