You're looking for a small tupperware container
hidden in the rolling hills of Lloyd Park, Croydon. The Tram service for the
park stops at Lloyd Park - Route 3. N51 21.852 W000 04.853 Or you can access
it via a carpark on nearby Coombe road.
There's 114 acres of parkland with mature trees
and woodland, small pond, and several fields have been developed for sport:
Football, cricket (juniors), cross country, lacrosse, korfball. Location has
changing rooms, toilets, bowling green and pavilion, childrens playground, horse
rides, Ice Cream van and recycling facilities for bottles and clothes. All this
an a geocache, plus a good walk in the country. The park is ccessible from central
London via the District line to Wimbledon, and then take the tram to Lloyd Park.
There are lots of good locations for the cache,
but I chose one that will cut tramping off trail to a minimum. There is a marker
nearby placed by Elmhurst school of south Croydon. You may have to crouch some
to access the cache.
