Jamesville Ave past Ainsley Drive continue up hill to Sky Top.
Continuing on my alphabet series of the Dark Side of Onondaga County, I bring you with great pleasure the Onondaga County Garbage & Trash Incinerator.
In recent memory this incinerator holds the record for being in the planning stage for many years. Even "Destiny" is second to the incinerator but it is gaining every day.
As you reach the top of the hill look to your left at the lawn. Cross this lawn till you reach the small path into the woods. Head South till you see the incinerator. CAUTION: Be careful or you may end up at the bottom of the hill again in a heap.
At the rim of the ledge you'll see an old familiar hiding place for many caches. Yes it is in there but please be careful you don't knock it down to the bottom as it might be difficult to retrieve.
The cache, a medium size pill box, contains a pencil, log, $ & 6 mini water squirters.
The area itself is very nice. Many paths cross in this small woods. It does prove that at times even garbage can be fun. Should I really say, "Enjoy"? CONGRATULATIONS TO CHOCLATNUT FOR FTF.
